Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Nicole Karastury Elliott after she was found deceased in the front yard of a residence in Waverly Hall, Georgia, on Monday, August 17, 2026.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Harris County 911 received a report of an unresponsive woman at approximately 12:37 p.m. at a residence located at 9306 Georgia Highway 208.
Responding deputies discovered Elliott deceased in the yard. Investigators said she appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound.
A follow-up investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with crime-scene processing conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, determined that Elliott had reportedly been involved in a domestic dispute earlier that morning.
Authorities said the dispute occurred at approximately 10:04 a.m. and involved 36-year-old Andrew Roy Harris of Phenix City, Alabama. During the altercation, investigators allege that Elliott was fatally shot.
Harris reportedly fled the scene following the shooting and is now wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for felony murder and aggravated assault.
Authorities said Harris was last seen on foot in Phenix City after fleeing the America’s Best Value Inn near the U.S. Highway 280 bypass.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to locate Harris and establish the full circumstances surrounding Elliott’s death.
