According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the fatal two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. on I-40 East near Old Hickory Boulevard. Authorities identified Kendreck as the driver who died at the scene.
Police said Kendreck was driving a 2011 Hyundai Genesis when the vehicle struck the back of a Peterbilt garbage truck, causing the truck to overturn and the Hyundai to catch fire. No one else was seriously injured in the crash.
