The Kershaw County community is heartbroken over the untimely passing of 13-year-old Cannon Turner, who tragically lost his life in an ATV accident on Monday evening. The crash occurred in a wooded area along Buck Hill Road in Ridgeway, according to Kershaw County Coroner David West.
Dispatchers received reports of the accident around 7:15 p.m., and upon arrival, first responders confirmed that Turner, a bright and cherished student at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School, had died at the scene. Despite the swift efforts of emergency personnel, his young life could not be saved.
