On Monday evening in Gallia County, Ohio, a devastating crash altered the lives of families, friends, and the wider community forever. What started as a routine evening along Georges Creek Road ended in profound loss when a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of 32-year-old Kruz White of Gallipolis.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. near the intersection of Georges Creek Road and Johnsons Ridge Road. Investigators reported that Kruz White was riding a 2013 Yamaha R1 motorcycle westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, he traveled left of center and collided with a 1997 Jeep Wrangler.
The Jeep was being driven by 33-year-old Zachary Gillies of Gallipolis, who had reportedly exited a driveway and was positioned in the eastbound lane at the time of the impact. Fortunately, Gillies sustained no injuries. Despite the swift arrival of emergency responders, Kruz White was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities closed the roadway for about two hours as they carefully documented evidence and worked to reconstruct the events leading up to the crash. Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Gallia County EMS, Gallipolis Fire Department, Stapleton’s Towing, Willis Funeral Home, and the Gallia County Coroner’s Office.
As the investigation continues, the community is left grappling with the sudden and painful loss of a young life taken too soon.
A Life Remembered
Kruz White was far more than a name in an accident report. He was a son, a friend, a neighbor, and someone who shared meaningful moments and lasting memories with those who knew him best. At just 32 years old, he was still shaping his future—filled with hopes, goals, and the everyday experiences that give life its meaning.
Friends and loved ones remember him in their own ways: his presence, his conversations, and the impact he left on those around him. In times like this, words can hardly capture the depth of sorrow that comes with such an unexpected loss.
