The Jeffersontown community is mourning the tragic loss of Noraa Deglow, 19, who was fatally shot at her apartment on Tuesday evening, April 7, 2026.
Noraa was a bright and compassionate young woman, known for her warm personality and kindness toward friends, family, and all who knew her. She had a vibrant spirit and brought joy to those around her, leaving a lasting impression on her loved ones.
According to the Jeffersontown Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Fir Trail at approximately 7:30 p.m. for a reported shooting. When authorities arrived, Noraa was found with a gunshot wound to her shoulder. She was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency medical services, where she later passed away during surgery.
Police identified 21-year-old Adam Thomas as the suspect in the incident. Thomas was taken into custody at the scene, and a revolver containing a spent cartridge was recovered from his possession. Reports indicate that Thomas and Noraa had been spending time together at the apartment when the weapon discharged. Thomas is being held at Metro Corrections and pleaded not guilty during his arraignment, with bond set at $500,000 cash.
