The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in Kent earlier this week as Joseph Christopher Moore, 31, of Kent.
According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, Moore died from a stab wound to the shoulder, and his death has been officially ruled a homicide.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, on a sidewalk near 1711 West Meeker Street, where Kent Police previously responded to reports of a man suffering from serious injuries. Moore was later transported for medical attention but, according to officials, he died on April 8, 2026.
Authorities say the Kent Police Department continues to actively investigate the case and is seeking information from the public to help determine what led to the deadly stabbing.
At this time, no arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released additional details regarding a suspect or motive.
