Jonathan J. Charron Motorcycle Accident: Plainfield Man Airlifted in Critical Condition After Motorcycle Crash on Plainfield Pike

A serious motorcycle crash Thursday night in Plainfield, Connecticut, left a local man fighting for his life after authorities say he fled from a trooper attempting a traffic stop.

The incident happened around 9:28 p.m. on April 17, 2026, near the intersection of Plainfield Pike and New Road. Reports indicate a Connecticut State Trooper attempted to stop a motorcycle shortly before the crash occurred.

According to initial information, the motorcyclist allegedly tried to flee but ultimately lost control and “dumped” the bike. Responding emergency crews later located a heavily damaged Harley-Davidson off the roadway in a wooded area.

The operator was identified as Jonathan J. Charron, 39, of Plainfield.

Charron was first transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted by LifeStar to a hospital in Rhode Island, where he was reported to be in critical condition.

Emergency responders requested an expedited response as crews worked the scene and provided lifesaving care.

The crash remains under investigation.
