A lifelong member and passionate supporter of the Kansas Angus Association, Greg’s involvement began at an early age as a member of the Kansas Junior Angus Association. From his youth, he embraced the values of hard work, leadership, and service that would become hallmarks of his life. His enthusiasm for the Angus industry and dedication to its continued growth never wavered.
Throughout the years, Greg became a respected leader within the Angus community. His service to the Kansas Angus Association included serving as President of the Kansas Angus Association in 1994, where he helped guide the organization with vision, integrity, and a deep commitment to its members. He believed strongly in supporting Angus breeders, promoting youth involvement, and ensuring a strong future for the breed and the association he loved.
Greg’s influence extended well beyond Kansas. Most recently, he served on the American Angus Association Board of Directors, where he represented breeders with wisdom, professionalism, and a genuine desire to advance the Angus breed nationwide. His leadership, thoughtful perspective, and dedication earned him the respect of fellow board members, cattle producers, and industry leaders across the country.
Beyond his many accomplishments, Greg will be remembered most for the relationships he built and the lives he touched. He was a trusted friend, mentor, cattleman, and advocate who generously shared his knowledge and experience with others. Whether at cattle shows, Angus events, industry meetings, or around the ranch, Greg’s kindness, humility, and passion for agriculture were evident to all who knew him.
