The Wolcottville, Indiana, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 18-year-old Kaden Henry Lynn Wiese, who tragically passed away following a single-vehicle accident in rural LaGrange County on Thursday evening, July 23, 2026.
According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded at approximately 7 p.m. to the 2500 block of West 700 South near Topeka after receiving reports of a serious crash.
Investigators reported that Kaden was driving a truck eastbound when the vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a fence. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and attempted to provide assistance, but despite their efforts, Kaden was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
An 18-year-old passenger who was also inside the vehicle was not injured in the collision.
Authorities indicated that speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash. The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
