Loie became a prominent figure in Carmel’s restaurant community after taking ownership of Anton & Michel at the end of 2020. Before entering the hospitality industry, he worked as a dentist before making the decision to join his family’s restaurant business.
His journey in hospitality was shaped by hands-on experience. Loie worked through various roles within the industry, learning the operations from the ground up before becoming an owner. That experience helped shape the thoughtful and personal approach he brought to his restaurants.
Alongside his wife, Sarah, and cousin Faisal Nimri, Loie was also involved with Nora’s, a restaurant created in honor of his grandmother. The establishment reflected his appreciation for family, comfort, and the importance of creating a welcoming environment where people could gather and share meaningful moments.
Those who worked with and knew Loie remember him as someone who cared deeply about people. His kindness, leadership, and willingness to connect with others made a lasting impression on employees, customers, friends, and members of the Carmel community.
