A tragic crash on Highway 111 has claimed the life of Deputy Landon Faulkner, 24, of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, leaving colleagues, family, and the wider law enforcement community in mourning.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Faulkner was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 111 Wednesday evening when he collided with a disabled vehicle stopped in the travel lane near Sequatchie County. The impact caused life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed the other driver, a 61-year-old man, was not injured in the crash. A preliminary report indicates Faulkner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. No charges have been filed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
